Technical talent from Syria, working remotely on your team
We build technology companies ourselves, so we know what opening a role costs while the product is waiting. We recruit developers and product managers in Syria for companies in the Gulf and beyond, and we always start with a conversation about your team and what you need.

What we do
We know the problem from the inside
Technical hiring is hard for unglamorous reasons: no time to interview while the product is waiting, CVs fluent in the vocabulary but silent on judgement, and no easy way to tell who owns their work and explains it clearly. We have lived through it in our own companies, and that is where we start.
We find
We have a network of developers and product managers in Syria and the region, and we advertise your role without naming your company unless you ask us to.
We assess
We read a candidate's answers and examples of their work before the CV, we talk to them, and where the role calls for it we set a practical task close to the real work. No name reaches you whose work we have not read and whom we have not spoken to.
We agree the arrangement
On the introductory call we talk about expectations, budget, ways of working and interviews, and agree how far our role goes: shortlisting only, or shortlisting with the contracting arranged. What we agree is written into the role description before we start searching.
How working with us begins
- 01
You tell us about your team
A short form: the company, a contact, and what you need. We save the request and send a receipt.
- 02
We review and arrange a call
We read the request and write to your work email to set a time for an introductory call.
- 03
Introductory call
Expectations, budget, ways of working and interviews, and who follows up on each side. Afterwards we decide together whether we are the right fit.
- 04
We agree the role description and start searching
What we agreed is written down, then we advertise the role without your company name and start assessing. You interview and choose.
What you should know before we start
Four things we would rather say now than after signing.
- Electricity and internet
- Power cuts and weak internet are real problems in Syria. The people we shortlist have arranged their own backups, and we discuss this with you openly before any contract.
- Time zone
- Syria is on UTC+3 all year, the same as Riyadh: a full shared working day with the Gulf.
- Compliance
- The country-level barrier is gone: the EU and US sanctions were lifted between 2025 and 2026, and targeted restrictions on named individuals, entities and goods remain. We are not your legal advisers; we give your compliance team the documents it needs.
- Confidentiality
- Your company is not named in any advert or page unless you decide otherwise.
This is general information, not legal advice. Sources: EU lifts economic sanctions on Syria, 28 May 2025، US Syria sanctions programme ended, effective 1 July 2025، Syria's State Sponsor of Terrorism designation rescinded, 24 August 2026
Who is behind Talent Syria
We are startup cofounders ourselves; building products is what we do every day. The team is led by a software engineer who spent fifteen years as a CTO and holds a Master's in AI and data science. So we read applications the way the people you would actually work with read them: how you think, examples from your work, and how you explain what you built, more than the keywords in a CV. We recruit for companies outside Syria and handle every application ourselves, from the first read to getting in touch.
