How to record your intro video

A CV says what you did. The video shows us how you communicate and how you present yourself.

We look at three things: clear, ordered speech, ease on camera, and a well-prepared recording. Most of remote work is that.

Introduce yourself: your background, the work you are proudest of, and when you could start.

In English if you can. Arabic is fine. Prepare it: write what you will say, and practise it once before you record. A shape that helps:

• Who you are and what you do, in one sentence.
• Two or three things you have done: what you did, and what came of it.
• Why this role, in one sentence.
• When you could start, and thank you.

• Your phone or laptop.
• Camera at eye level, light on your face, not behind you.
• A quiet room and a steady frame.
• You can record it more than once.

• Upload it to Google Drive, Loom or YouTube (unlisted).
• Check that anyone with the link can watch it. This is the step everyone forgets.
• Paste the link into the video question on the application.

Upload the file itself on the video screen of the application (MP4, MOV or WebM, up to 500 MB). No application is turned down for having no video, and you can add one later from your page.
